Can we forget the photography of the past, the whole pose-and-smile-and-look-like-ya-love-each-other sort of coerced togetherness?
Instead
can we look for the points of real connection; the reminders
that love isn’t shown in directed smiles but in
a little girl’s hand gripping her dad’s
a grandma comforting her scared grandchild
brothers being goofy and throwing around a football?
I’d like to think we can.
